How do you measure 1/2" from the stock location?
it's so friggin' basic and clear cut does he really need to explain?.........this might be the only forum in the world that used the word revolutionary in a post talking about motor set back and dodge ball joints LOL
I believe Charlie described why it would be difficult to measure this unless you are starting with a brand new frame that has never been touched, but since most of them have been purchased from someone else you have no idea if anything is in the stock location. So if it so easy and clear cut would you be kind enough to explain it?

WOW someone gets it LOL... Why look for 1/2" just put it in stock location and be done with it. 1/2" is for factory clearances obviously... don't mess with it. Look for something elsewhere and work on your car, not how to cheat.
Have a nice day ;D
I'd post a link if I knew how to I'm not very bright I'm just a tire changer...
Tom Cook I know you are still here "Badlands by The Boss"... It's all I gotta say ;D 😮 ;D
I am just wondering how they intend to measure it at the track that's the only thing I am wondering. I personally don't care if people want to drive around with their engine in the back seat. There is a really weight rule and also if they move it back to far the driver is going to have some pretty hot feet when the exhaust manifold hits the floor.
Honestly, why would you change the rules this close to the end of the season......get with the program. The average racer is expected to put out the cash to reposition the motor?? To single out one particular driver, when there are more than one car in this situation........seems you might be a bit jealous. Mark.....how about imposing a weight addition to those drivers not in compliance....that might be a little more affordable. Maybe next season, the promoters will get the rules correct prior to the season start!!
