I'm a long time race fan also and willing to donate some hours to help paint Sunset Speedway . You provide the paint and we can help make a difference . I'd even be willing to help cut the grass between the two fences on the front stretch of the track . Available on a Saturday , all you have to do is ask by sending me a personal message .
Jackman I also would be willing to volunteer to help out in any way possible.Why doesn't someone talk with Wes and start some sort of volunteer group and help out by doing things around sunset.If Wes needs help on a sunday,count me in.

Hey guys, just before Wes cancelled the night yesterday,I was able to ask him whether we (four cylinders) could possibly slide into the program for next Saturday. We had previously been omitted from the show on that particular day and replaced by the ever popular SPECTATOR RACE! Wes agreed that it would be a good thing to have all four divisions running on that night, since the month of August was obviously a wash out. He asked me specifically to post the info on "CRO",to make sure that all the racers are made aware of the schedule change. Obviously he is aware of the importance to us racers that this forum has become and also how important it is for us to get a chance to run our cars. See Ya in turn 2, Sensei.

How can you change the schedule 1 week before the race date. I'm in the running for the points at the Sunset and I have a prior commitment for this weekend.
So how is every racer at Sunset going to find out about the change, not every racer comes on CRO. And this wasn't even in a separate topic, if it wasn't for a friend calling me and letting me know I may not have found out.
I understand that it's been a long time since we've raced, but why not race as a non points night for the guys who have prior commitments. 5 or 6 weeks ago when the call was made that we would be off this weekend, we decided it was the perfect weekend to close our house and move.
Hey Dave,I understand your predicament and I agree wholeheartedly. I still am interested in racing on Sat., but I dont feel that it should necessarily be for points. This is something that I will bring up to Wes on Sat. I feel that we probably wouldnt have a full field any way, so I cant see it mattering to him whether its a points night or not.
