I never heard about this before.
I personally don't have a problem with it. No one's holding a gun to anyone's head and making her sport a bikini in victory circle. It is a testosterone driven sport in the minds of most fans as well, and pretty girls are just a part of that. The idea of the "trophy girl" is an ages old one.
But then, I'm of an age where if I go into a garage, its not offputting to me if there's grease everywhere and an old nudie calendar hanging above the workbench. That just seems natural to me. So I'm probably not your best judge.
In this day and age, I think the sheer number of people who'd be put off by this type of thing probably outweighs all else. It's the age of political correctness, so watch your step. If you present your sponsor with a framed victory lane photo, and there's buxom blondes surrounding you and the car, do you think your sponsor is going to hang it up in his storefront? I'd say likely not...might put off the odd female customer.
I will say that I really do believe that life is way too short and precious to waste time being offended by this kind of thing. That's just a personal opinion, and YMMV.
However, if I was running the show, I'd have to say no to cheesecake girls, just in the name of good business practice.

i saw the pics and was surprised nothing was said earlier..lol..and ya they need more clothes...but the people in the pics dont seem to mind...they have "trophy girls" at other tracks, infact at Humberstone the girl there use to race minis and she is very popular with everyone at the track and is a great representative for the track and getting information out to drivers and fans on facebook site and such.
As hot as the ladies might be?????? I still remain in question!!! AUG 2???? The only thing would get me there????? Photo and auto from #32 PS driver!! As long as they do not continue to dress like the girls from my buddies stag last week, I think it will be ok.
That is the main thing - the clothing department. Mark did post on the Inside Track board this response, just passing it along
I am sorry if anyone was offended, the girls will be dressed in a jump style suit with Sunset logo's on them with in the next couple of weeks in the mean time they where ask to dress in short's and T shirt (I think they missed the memo on the shorts) but it will be handled in the future.
