I've witnessed Tom Walters driving other drivers cars during practice sessions and the cars were faster with Tom at the helm. There is no denyieng he is smooth. Perhaps its the driver not the iron.
Just a thought. What if ?
Hoser2, you are right,Tom has taken other cars out and they are faster. Maybe all these drivers who want to be the best should spend some of that money they like to throw around on cloning Tom. Just think, your own great driver along with a mccoll car, what more could you want. and just think of the racing you would have, i mean they all could not win at the same time so what a show! time for more beer, maybe i can make this even better after a few more, lol !
How about the carb that will not be on the car sat night.
Promotors and drivers better soon get together and figure this LM stuff out. No LM in Ontario has had the same rules for years now. I feel the crate program has turned into a joke. Spend an hour of your free time on the internet and use a phone and you can have a cheated up sealed motor from the states delivered to your door. Not saying all or any have one, but the ease at getting one throws a shadow of doubt over the whole program. And they are teched very rarely. LM racing in Ontario has been spiraling downward since the demise of Alstar and to the point I have little to no interest in attending the races. And that's a shame. I wouldn't miss one ten years ago. When are the promotors going to wake up and follow the Dirt model of equal rules at different track and actually start doing some tech before a controversy such as this one arises. Let's be a little more proactive or have an engine claimer implimented as Gary has suggested. Until then I'll be at the track when my team is but otherwise I'll be watcing some dirt racing or helping our NCATS team.
