48 fan, you might be right about maybe only a couple of tracks running. bottom line is, if a track like sunset can pay out that kind of money , yes some tracks could close, but just remember there are only a handfull of racers that can afford to race there and win. when the rest of drivers pack it in because they can not compete then sunset will be like those tracks that might close down - low car count, no fans, then what happens to racing in ontario.

there are cars that race now that have never won a feature or heat race yet they still keep trying to make there stuff better and competing every week regardless of where they finish ......bottom line if a racer can race he/she will go to the track and give there all doesn't matter where they finish.   

I don't think the future is as bad as that but tracks do sooner than later have to start working together and turn their assets into multi-use facilities. Leaving assets such as these idle during the week just isn't good business. In fact places such as Delaware and Sunset could just be the first short tracks anywhere that have residential suites. Damn that last drink was strong. 😉

First I would like to say that by no means do I want to see any race track close remember I make my living at racing wheather it be at the speedway, managing teams or driving without race tracks there is no living, this program is not to steal cars from speedways we are very happy with our car counts and the level of competition in the past.
I believe that programs like this are needed to keep racing alive from a racers point of view and most of all a fans this will create a lot of excitement in the pits and grandstands and that is what racing is all about people cheering and people booing it has to be fun and have atmosphere to sit and look at each other bored after you paid money to get there sucks in my opinion that is what will kill racing.
As for the comment about Sunset running all these specials on the Sun of the long weekends that is false if you look at our schedule in the past we have always run something on the long weekend yes and that will not change we have Oscaar on 2 of them same as in the past and invitationals on the other 2 same as the past but I will also run a min of 4 Sun on off weekends something that everyone is scared of I am not put on a good show and they will come and as far as the other tracks we do work together on schedules and will continue to do so it is to no ones benefit to have 3 shows on the same date but as it has been said there are only so many dates so there will be some over lapping all the tracks can do is try and do the best for ta not to happen and I think this will be the best year for that.
