Inquiring minds want to know your thoughts after today's drivers meeting. I'm hoping for all positive things, but realistically, if you have a negative opinion, please keep it PG.
So what happened at the meeting. From the other poll it was looking good the new rules were ok but most thought htey need tweeking but this poll so far doesn't look as good so far.
So who went that can write what happened.
We came at the end of the Thunder meeting which from the looks of it was quite well attended. The Stroud arena Screwed up big time and only booked the speedway into the upstairs meeting room until 12 and booked another party in there for 1/2 hour later. But some quick thinking got us to all meet downstairs in the lobby of the arena so we could have the last meetings. By the way, the arena wanted us to travel to Lefroy to finish our meetings. While I'm sure some will say it was the track's fault...I heard myself the arena staff saying it was THEIR OWN error and not the speedway's.
So all went downstairs and we finished off the meetings. The outlaw meeting was held with lots of questions and people seemed quite interested in how to convert their cars to meet the new rules, and the to make them as fast as what we are all hoping they will be.
The Mini Stock (4 cyl.) meeting was again well attended given where we had to hold it and there were lots of questions especially from the former 4 Fun drivers on how to fix up their cars and what all needed to be done. From what I understand, the Mini Stock rules have not changed too much from last year. What will be interesting to see is how many move up to the outlaw class and how many four funs move up to Mini Stock.
I wasn't at the Late Model Meeting so have no clue about that one. Plus I'm not familiar with all the rule changes but they are now posted on the website.
On a staff note, we finally have a lineup person at the bottom of the off ramp to make sure no cars enter the track when they shouldn't. We used to and then a couple years went by with noone there and now we have one back not ony to help line up the cars on the back line up area but to also ensure no car enters unexpectedly like last season.
Hope that helps a bit.
Anne
please tell me that there isn't 3 -4 cylinder divisions!
Don't worry, the 4Funs are no more, we now have the mini-stocks and the new 4 cyl outlaws.
