I don't know it feels like you are losing your home.. Just gonna always have strange house guests every week.

I can imagine every would race their home track and be able to have a bonus race on Sunday at Sunset but it will be a revolving door of drivers.

Right now I go to the track and it is like a big family with all your friends there and you see them every week. When we have an invitational it is fun and great to see visiting drivers but it is like hosting a house party where it is a lot of fun but after the last guest leaves it is nice to take a breather and go back to normal.

For those that like to travel to various tracks I can't see why the track owners can't sit down and agree to run one Sunday a month per each track.

I also like the idea of having night out on Saturday. I have done daytime Sunday races before and some days it can be so hot that is just plain sucks.

If you run during the day, you are going to get fewer people showing up. The show is only 3 hours, but run during the day it screwes up your whole day, as a fan..

Saterday night racing is good, because you can wash the car, visit your neighbours, take the kids for a swim, all that summer stuff, during the day, then end the day with a night at the races. Heck you could even go to say wonderland and still make the race at night. A day race is competing with all the other things you can be doing during the day.

You cannot run an "invitation" every week. I made the 2 hour haul because it was something special. I'd certainly come again, but not every week. Other will feel the same way. You can 1/4 the car count you saw out there of vistiors is you hold it every week. Plus you will never be able to hold "the big one" with a 38 car count again...

I'll go out on a limb here, and say I'm possibly the only thunder driver in the provice running 2 tracks full time (Mayhew also, he did take a few weeks off Mosport). If people wanted to run 2 tracks, you guys would be hauling down to Kawartha. You're not, so what makes you think its going to happen the other way around?

And before you say Kawartha is too far, remeber all the other tracks, Sable, Varney, Flamborough are about the same 2 hour haul from you guys. So all you have is possibly Barrie cars, without the issue of the long haul...

Friday nights would be a better consideration, if the plan is to stop splitting the cars and fans with Barrie...

if the races start at 1 and its a 3 hour show...thats a 4 o'clock finish...2 hours home intime for dinner at 6...heck i wouldnt want to race on saturdays now because i would be so tired from washing the car, visiting neighbours and taking kids for a swim that day...lol.
you will still have your regular sunset guys running i'm sure....friday would be hell on that 400 to get up there for us southerners fighting with cottage traffic...one reason i have never gone to kawartha except for a sunday...hate friday T.O. traffic.
