Well said thunder6 , i think it would be great if we could get the management from barrie and sunset to sit down and get a mutual race schedule or an intertwined schedule that works for both tracks. Something like they did a few years back with the simcoe county shootout or even the peterboro, barrie ,sunset race challange.Come on guys, for the sake of racing and fans that enjoy both tracks ,lets get on the ball.
+1
from what i understand the tracks were getting along fine and there was a good chance of this, then glen at sunset banned barrie thunders without telling anybody at barrie he simply put up a poster at bayside. This might be tough now as glen seemed to put a wedge in the friendship process.
Too bad, there was such opportunity here for some great competition... And in reality the cars are not all that different and everyone knows it, that ruling was really ignorant.
slammer its really too bad that more of sunsets fast runners were not there this might have not happened. the next g cars do not dominate at barrie. In the top 3 2 are old gen cars. the next gen are the same car and must way 150 lbs more if they do not run the crate engine so they are not too fast. i think it was a bad decision and glen should have done more research before making his call. For your info he even told old gens that they had to run sunset tires, sunset front end rules, ect ect how can that be an invitational? Its supposed to be home track rules. Anyways it its too bad because it makes for real interesting racing and it would make for a good series as the two tracks are so close together...
the reason for the barrie cars having to run the sunset tire is because apparently the barrie tires are a softer compound
apparently the tread numbers or something like that indicate such
that's right out of the mouth of fred pombiere
