I've spent the last 2 years at Barrie and I wasn't impressed by any of the b.s. that causes drivers to lose their shirts , because of crashes that are just crazy ! Lets face it , the payout at any track doesn't justify the heavy damage that some of these cars sustained weekly . Black flags were shown to certain drivers , while others got away with just about anything . Was anybody really impressed with the guy in King of the hill that crashed his Accura into the cement wall , snapped the wall in two , demolished his car , broke his arm  ( snapped it just above the wrist ) ! Barrie tried hiding it well with a blue tarp to keep people from seeing exactly what was happening . But many people took photo's with their cellphones . I'm waiting for them to be posted on youtube.  I love racing too much to see people get hurt badly . I like crashes too , but not violent like at the track pretending to be a northern Nascar great .

Once again people are trying to start the neverending feud of "Sunset vs. Barrie". Finally we collectively get this issue calmed down and start talking openly and creatively as racing fans and not talking about our allegiances and the usual blah blah blah of Sunset this and Barrie that - Then someone is not content and has to throw some kerosene on it and get it going again...

I think we sorted out what most of us think about the KOH accident. Like any unfortunate racing incident, it's too bad it happened. It could have happened anywhere, Sunset, Mosport, Delaware, Barrie, the moon, Australia, anywhere.

I think we all can agree that some of us like Sunset, and some of us like Barrie. That isn't going to change anytime soon.

Why don't we all just relax, enjoy some good racing at whatever track YOU decide to spend your money at.

Come to CRO and talk about racing, the individuals and teams in the racing, what's happening at your track, etc... Not bash someone elses choice of product. I like Pepsi and you might like Coca-Cola. I'm not going to fight you in the parking lot because of it.

Well said thunder6 , i think it would be great if we could get the management from barrie and sunset to sit down and get a mutual race schedule or an intertwined schedule that works for both tracks. Something like they did a few years back with the simcoe county shootout or even the peterboro,barrie ,sunset race challange.Come on guys, for the sake of racing and fans that enjoy both tracks ,lets get on the ball.
