The topic is "RESTART" not starting the race. And I guess Witty, Walters, Parsons, and Brown aren't worth there weight in salt as they were all slowed down. The #24 and the #05 slowed down the field. Thats not exciting!
Last night in the mini's I was in third passing lapped traffic and the caution came out, they put the lapped car (which was lapped at least 2 times) 3rd in the line up, moving me to 4th and giving 5th a clear line around the outside. Fair enough he did get to the side and out of the way but that was not until middle of the front straight.
i I would have to agree with ThayneIf the leader has got around the slow car, then the rest of the pack has to get around it. It is only fare that they do it that way. Why give the rest of the cars a free pass, if there was no caution then they would have to work their way around d the car as the leader did.
They have said that in the future with 10 to go they'll be putting all lap down cars to the back to solve that issue - I remember hearing that from someone.
^^^That makes sense, not moving the lap cars early in the race will speed things up. As a fan I want to see a clean shootout to the finish with all the leaders together. At the 75 lap LLM invitational they did the opposite & moved the lapped cars early in the race but a caution with 5 to go they left the lapped cars. We had a car with barely a scratch on it & a 5th place finish, after that we needed 2 new doors, skirts & scrub rails with a 6th place finish. We will be back this year to race there but it did leave a bad taste in our mouths.
