VELOCITY 250 WEEKEND WILL NOW BE A THREE DAY EVENTOPEN LATE MODEL – FRIDAY SEPT. 23, 2011Pits Gates Open 3 p.m.Spectator Gates Open 6:30 p.m.Opening Ceremonies: 7:30 p.m. On Track Autograph Session: 7:45 p.m.Racing Starts at 8:15 p.m.Race: 100 laps with competition caution at lap 60. At this time teams will be allowed to take fuel, make adjustments and 1 tire (5 minute stop)Leader at lap 60 will roll double dice to determine the inversion for the last 40 laps. Leader will be paid as follows: Snake eyes $0, 3-6 $100 7-9 $200 10 $250 11 $300 12 $400.Rules: Any tires changed in competition must be flat (will be strictly enforced) penalty will be 1 lap per tire. All other rules will be the same as Sunset Open Late models current package. The cars (20) that registered on Aug. 21 will have a guarantee to be in the show. 26 to 28 cars will start. This will be discussed at the drivers meeting. I sure hope more cars from KD & Flammy attend, especially since KD will be done for the season; really no reason they can't come !
