to the barrie cars who went to sunset sat.

i was at barrie on saturday talking with the track owner.

and not one of you have any idea why they pulled our show .
all you want to do is complain about the track   maybe you should all find a new track to call home.  it rained hard enough to make the field where we were to park a mud pit .
they didn't want us to get stuck for one secondly the cars would have dragged mud up on the track. and they were not sure if the wheather was going to hold out.

I can tell you i got stuck in the field with my hauler because i didn't check the web before leave sat morning.

I can see the only people with any class here either said nothing or thanked sunset for allowing bsw car to run. unlike last year when next gen. where not welcome

I hope you all had fun sat. night  Chris hope your car is alright as well as you

Your comments and actions speak well for those bsw racers who did not go sat night.

but might later in the year. You and Tex both are a class act  my hat is off to both of you

                just my opinon  folks

I agree with Junior, all tracks have their faults!

I spoke with some of the Barie drivers (Thunders) and their complaints were not about Sunset.  EVERY track has bad nights in the tower and the line-ups don't get listed as quickly as we'd like.  Anyone volunteering?  Every night I've run 2 features in one night (Because of a rain out the previous week) it takes longer to get the 2nd features line-up out.  This is the same at all tracks.

BTW - rumour is that Barrie's going to cancel next week because the sun is too bright in corner 4.

Hope to see the Barrie drivers on Aug 16th.

Thanks troy, I know that when I venture off to other tracks that I not only represnet my self and my sponsors but I also represent the track that I call home Barrie Speedway. Some of us may not have had the time they thought they would, I never really knew what to expect as it was my first time there, so what can I really say about the track I never got to see how it ran before with the old owners.

Okay it was not a great night at Sunset - but just a little point to take into consideration. Deb the lady who is in charge of lineups and points and scoring and and and (you can take the point) felt so bad that the 4 cylinder drivers were missed on the line up that she took 150 dollars out of her own pocket for 3 drivers that were missed on the lineup. Do not know this lady but lets take a moment and think in this day and age can anyone really afford money like this because of a mix up?

Wes who was so geared up about the situation telling the official to re-invite the Barrie drivers to come back and he would re do this event and to boot he upping the win purse to $600.

Did not notice fans aggressive towards the Barrie cars but if they did  Screw them!!! Barrie folks come on back - it was some excellent racing when the show was on and it was awesome racing between the Sunset regulars and the folks who did the long haul to come down for the night.
