Junior, when our 4 cly drivers make the feature, get lined up ON THE TRACK, and then get told to leave, thats a slap in the face to our Barrie drivers...I know it was a raw deal to the BSW drivers with respect to the Canadian Tire Series being there, but when Sunset drivers have come to Barrie and made the feature ( past years) they got to run it, not told to line up on the track then told to get off, Barrie may have its issues right now, but nowhere near the problems Sunset seems to be struggling with... we would never embarass drivers from other tracks by lining them up and then telling them to leave.... just in poor taste, we all went there with high expectations of being welcomed but left being slightly disappointed with the results. Maybe we will just go back to BSW and work a little harder in getting our issues ironed out so we won't have to go anywhere else to race..... maybe thats the answer.... and thats my 3 cents worth,
YORKIE I think you'll find that it had nothing to do with just the barrie drivers,it was just plain stupidity on the part of the scorers or maybe more of the track directers fault for not being more on the ball. I really dont think they intended to embarass anyone and if they did i'm sure it wont happen again.
Ok Tex I was Asleep When Yorkie got on here :oSORRY but I have to Agree with her You Know how it is with Women PMS and all lol'' But I better shut up now Elvis LOL
Oh Scooter, you are so in trouble now, I suggest you get on that little scooter of yours and get out of Dodge Hunny......lol you is in the doggy house now ....... I don't get PMS any more, unless it is " PUTTING UP WITH MENS SHIT" HHHMMMM I think I had a shirt that said that once, I think you threw it away, you never did like that shirt.... lol
I don't Drive a Dodge !!!!!!Quit picking on me!!!
Well all I have to say here is:
If you get invited to someone's house do you A: Thank them for their hospitality and the good times that you had.
Or B: Tell all of your friends that their TV wasn't big enough. And their food wasn't very good, they drank the wrong kind of beer... blah blah blah.
Some people got screwed over because of a mistake in scoring or whatever, but tried to apologize for it. What else can you expect them to do.
As to caution flags this is always the way it has been run at Sunset. Do you wear your shoes into someone's house who has a sign at the front door? The caution isn't used as much there and that's the way it is. I've been at Barrie watching features for an hour and a half when I thought the bulbs in those yellow light were going to burn out.
As for fans "not being enlightened", I have to say this. It wasn't very long ago that participants from these two speedways fought all the time about pretty well nothing on this board. Since people have opened their eyes and been less judgemental I have made some good friends that I don't necessarily see every week.
If you want to slag Sunset after a LOT of people TRIED to welcome us and fit us in the program then I think that shows bad taste. Completely MY OPINION of course, so if you don't like what I wrote, pass it by the next time you get here. ;D
I am on a crew at Barrie, llm. we didnt bring the car though. And think that the drivers all around were awesome, and that there was some great racing lastnight!! As for the B.S. with the organization (especially with the 4's) the track needs to pull thier socks up!! I wont say either track is better, because each has their pro's and con's. The only reason I am on a Barrie team is because thats where my driver/sponsors prefer to race. both tracks have flagmen that dont know how to use the propper flags at the proper times. Barrie= Black, and Sunset= Yellow. The two most important flags out there to keep the racing safe, fun and competitive.
I for one feel Bad for Herb Walters, as he was well on his way to get the checkered flag last night! His first I believe in a thunder this year at Sunset? I think that the 44 got a raw deal, from what I saw anyways. as well as a good portion of the track saw it too. That was one bent-up ride. hopefully the xtreme team will have her flyin again where ever they run next week.
I say good job to all the Drivers, and thier crews!! you all put on an awesome show!! hopefully we can all race again soon (aug 16th)? And as for the tracks, Common Guys The Barrie area is the best racing scene in possibly all of Canada as far as the car counts and talent!! Lets keep it that way!!! Get your S%^& Together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
