one ways would work well. 2 ways are a bit much. At least somebody can come on the radio and tell the drivers there is a caution immediately. Look like Cunnington couldn't see past the car in front of him to see the caution lights by one of the pictures in an earlier thread. A one way radio may have prevented him hitting Ricky. Safety is #1 and getting the line ups quick for the restarts is a plus.
DIRT motorsports have one ways in all divisions but took the two ways out of the modifieds for events less than 200 laps.
I agree with Trevor's Cup Wanabee theory. DIRT found there was too much radio control driving-primarily blocking going on. Anybody listening on a scanner could easily figure it out.
Drivers refer to it as the Danny Johnson rule as he was the prime culprit. WOO doesn't use two ways in their late models either.
A good quality $100 scanner will work as a one way. Just wondered who the numbnuts at Delaware and Flamboro were that voted this in although it could have been lobbied for by a supplier who was also a sponsor. Or wealthy teams wanting the most toys.
And with the expensive two way radios out of the way, perhaps transponders could be purchased for scoring purposes in more divisions.
