So you allow a unlimited cam. Now the cars are faster and whats the next weak link?? The rear end, transmition where does it stop. To build a fast competitive car is going to cost you, why add more to it. Like Keith said if you want to blow money buy a late model.
The price is the same for a stock lift and .480 lift, valve springs are the same too!Varney Speedway has this rule with headers also. Now the headers are cheaper and easier then crap stock cast iron. You are allowed ford 9 inch now,so what the concern there?
You got to face things here, these cars are the next challenger's!!Ive seen some Barrie cars that from what i heard, cost huge money!!someone sure sucked them in!!And the one car that didnt run this year,is not that fast, you can have the best car in the world, but if you cant drive it,your going backwards like Hanchard..lol
Unlimited cams would be the worst mistake ever. Not interested in the slightest. 2101, who cares. It's not much different than the cast in the big picture.
Transponders would be nice. Maybe one-ways for line ups. Then there's no excuses. Get in your spot or get off the track.
Don't go messing with this class because IT WILL DIE. It's $20,000 to get in right now, and how many new people are getting in it? Very few is the correct answer, Alex...
Tex,could you please explain ur comment concerning unlimited cams being the worst mistake?
And if someone is spending $20,000 on a thunder car, they are nuts!!!!!!!!!!
i agree larue...u can buy a unlimited cam as cheap if not cheaper then some of those 410 cams guys are running......but i dont care anymore...since im crate....lol
2101 for sure, the only guys who would bitch about that are the guys who just spent 800 bones on a brezinski. manual trannys for sure, eliminates the oil downs and the cheated up powerglides. this is the flywheel number####, this is the clutch and pressure plate####'s and must be stock gm 3 spds. any cheating= loss of all points and no points for the rest of the season and $500 fine to come back! racecars have manual transmissions!!!! qa1's, i'm not throwing out 500 worth of shocks. if they were to just allow these i'd be happy!
Manual transmissions are great, but will open up a huge can of worms, with a huge expense, the bell housing alone is $400.but,sure lets do it.I got some muncie's sitting around just waiting!!
I beleive Delaware is the only track that allows the manuals right now,but they are further advanced then are out of date sleds.
Just be prepared there jimmy,on restarts when i buzz by you,and then shift gears!!! 😉 😉
If you want a competitive car Larry, that's what it costs to build from the floor up.
If you buy someone else's, then not as much. You can very easily have $20 - 25 in these cars.
And I presume you're telling me I can't drive. Thanks Larry. I've raced on a track 10 or 11 times in 3 years, kept my nose clean and stayed out of the way. I didn't have the car. Unlike you, the illustrious race car driver who OUTDROVE the Deuce... And then put it on the trailer, right? I remember that tank when it couldn't get out of it's own way before you dropped the cheater motor in there, Marty Robbins...
