Or two... 😮 😮 😮
I think too many people are worried about some of the rule changes that may or may not happen. If they allow floaters, manuel trans and the 2101, it doesn't mean you have to bolt them on this year or next. I personally could not afford to do all 3 this year anyway and I am probably not the only one. I still would like the option of having them, you are still going to have guys spending a ton of money anyway. There are guys that will get there heads and intakes done by Brzezinski(I wish). Same with the glides we all know the place in Newmarket, lol. Also as Larry said the floater is not gonna make you a rockstar, wow I put in a floater and look at me now. Every year we spend more and more but that is a fact of life and just not on racing but on everything. I think some of the proposed changes are a step in the right direction to level the playing field(but not quite). JMO
Well using the Prince's logic here, some people already have the metric 9" setup. That's $1300 bucks that has been spent and has to be spent again. I'm not talking about the offset 9" that a local legend builds, I'm talking about the QP or Moser units...
What I'm talking about is let's leave it to one or two changes and let's race. As it is there really isn't enough top notch quality cars anyways, so let's make it easier for the guys whose cars need updating to do it.
The other thing is the Powerglide is a perfect transmission for us, and here's why. I can still pick them up for $100 out of the buy and sell rag. Nobody but us want them. If you're concerned about cheaters, then tech them. And if the guy doesn't know how, get a new guy who does.
Just because they are in the rules does not mean you have to have buy it was my point, my 7.5 metric and glide work fine for now. I would like the option on a manuel or floater. The 2101 is a no brainer as stated numerous times on here, they range from $130 to $200. Thats pretty cheap, and I have no problem spending that and easy to tech. There are 2 cars in our class that are top notch, no money was spared and it shows.JMO
At bsw,iam sure there is cars with ford 9' and qa1's,running against cars with 7.5 diff's and pro shocks.
Iam sure tex said, he was done with this thread!!!! >:( >:( >:(The local legend thing was funny, call up quick performance or moser and they will both offset the pinion for you.
