There are alot of tricks you can do with these transmissions, besides what Cheater is talking about with the dummy converter, these tricks are all within the rules, believe it or not. There are some real tight converters you can buy for them.
Now i do believe the rule with transmission cooler lines is,that they must be steel lines,no rubber hose/cooler hose,is that every checked??.Iam sure when someone pukes transmission fluid all around the track, thats where its coming from, blown line!!!Except for the one with the converter breaking..lol
go to quick performance.com floaters are cheaper and come with brackets. way better in my opinion and about 400 bucks cheaper. see for yourself! brackets are for a stock metric caliper, pretty easy to mandate what caliper, axle type and rotor you can run. go with the floater, trust me!
Iam thinking Pete Bicknell, cause if it ever needs repairing, would be alot easier then shipping it back to the states.
I think, everyone thinks that if they change the rule to allow floaters, that you have to run out and buy one, thats not the case at all,it takes less horsepower to turn a 7.5 diff then a 9".Its not going to make you any faster, but a helluva lot safer.Sunset's new track and Varney's are going to be fast, hate to see someone get hurt.
My dad and I were thinking along the same lines LArry with the proposed banking. But maybe it is overkill, we really don't know.
