Final drive at flammy is roughly 630. Most guys run low gear and 340 area (no 9'' allowed) Sunset is around 650. This does vary depending on how well yr car turns(see winning) and yr preffered rpm range. Smaller tire? Are you serious? Smaller tire=smaller footprint and shorter sidewall. Considering how crucial tires have become, isnt that counter productive to going faster?
we ran a 633 final on sunday in a 602 thunder.........seemed to work good dont know what he builts ran but one fella told me he had 650 in.......that is what I ran in Flammy with my built
Hi guys. I will be at Sunset in a Lucas Oil Sportsman car. Im planning on using my Flamboro gear. (6.67) At Flamboro, I was roughly 7300rpm. Do you think I will be close? Thanks in advance.
A 6:83 gave us 7700 in the LOSC car last year. You probably would want a 6:50 for about 7400.
I also forgot to mention I have 87 1/4" Right side tires. I ran 86" at Flamboro. Thanks montess. So is that the gear you also ran at Flamboro?
Yes, we ran the same gear at flamboro.
