i have a non-vtec 1.6 in mine '92-95....i guess you'd have to change wiring harness and computer too. for another $500-$600 you could probably have it legal for out there. it cost me $5000 (everything included)to build mine getting the car for free with a junkyard motor and paying csc to do the cage and i bought all new brakes and everything else on the car i bought new and the car is really good. you don't need a zc either the one i use is a Y7 block or something it's $400 at the wreckers there is a tonne of them. $3100 or so for a brand new honda mini-stock is a steal if you have the motivation to do the changes.....let us know what you end up getting.
Actually, I'm assuming it's VVT only because that was the only 1.6 L avaliable in 94. I haven't spoken with the guy who is selling it yet. Will need to talk to him. I'm sure it's not VVT knowing there are other 1.6L options outside of the ZC. Now only if these guys would pick up their phones!
i'm not sure but i think v-tec started in 95 so you may be alright with the 94.....mine came non v-tech so there's hope...
It's a Sunset car... no VTEC!
It's a Sunset car... no VTEC!
Lehmans car is not VTEC and is SOHC, it's the 94 civic that was newly built....either way, looks like I'll be getting Corey's car within a few weeks!
