Sunday reminded me of a champions race as there were so many different track champs........they should have the top 5 in each division go to a track and race each other! that would be awesome...or even the top 3 from each of the popular Ontario tracks. There would be like 30 cars in each race and everyone raced the feature....would put on a heck of a show and probably would draw a huge crowd! It would be like the Toyota All Star showdown. Every division, minis, thunders, LLM and LM all having an all star showdown by invite only.....if one of the top 3 at a track refused the invite then the 4th place car would get the invite and so on......this would guarantee the best of the best and would declare an Ontario division champion in one race weekend......what does everybody think of that idea?
Its a great idea although the only drawback is that the home cars for that track would probly end up wining. I.E Flamboro LM drivers winning if the race was held at Flamboro or if Delaware was where the race was held then those home drivers would win. Its not a very fair comparison on who's the better driver of all tracks because the home track guys have that much of an advantage.
Great idea,but I also agree with latemaodel28 about home cars probably winning.I think it would be a bit of a stretch to crown an "ontario " champion but it would still be quite an accomplishment to be an ALLSTAR INVITATIONAL 2008 champ.
Late Model 28 I suggested to GRR that they should hold a series
at the end of year and do two races one at Delaware and One at Flamboro(These 2 tracks are under the GRR Banner).Make both races 100 Lap or 150 Lap with time trials .Set the field and go racing .As I said 1 race at Delaware one week and then the next week Flamboro.Overall points leader after 2 races is the Champion.Never got a reply back from the GRR.Thought it was a good one but I guess not
