As a fan I have often wondered aloud myself about 40 or 50 lap features, thinking how the extra laps would allow the better drivers to get to the front. (and keep me at the track a little longer π
But to hear it straight from those themselves that do it every week, their argument's make far more sense then mine.
It is cool to know 12 or 13 guys can win a 30 lap feature every week, and it is great to see 20 car fields most weeks as well. I do like the longer lap events (without the competition inversion mind u lol), but I think we do get lots of those throughout the year.
I guess the bottom line is, as a fan I would rather see 10 years of awesome 30 laps features with great fields and good equipment rather than 2 or 3 years of smaller dwindling fields with burnt out equipment!
Just the opinion of a fan! (who is having withdrawls having had to watch my racing on tv this past weekend π
Get rid of the heats and run twin 30's like Barrie, heats are garbage in my mind. Why split the field up in half of have some amazing teams running the less than amazing teams meanwhile the other heat is stacked with quality cars. I say put them all on the track together and thats how a real championship should be decided, and not by the luck of the draw at the start of a night.
