Getting back on topic I can agree regular nights are different from the invitational and probably should be the normal 25/35. I agree with the afore mentioned an acceptable tweeking of the handicap system may be something to experiment with. Each track being different offers different degree of difficulty getting to the front from the back, and possibly now averaging of transponder timing may offer some way of help formulating a handi cap system in hand with what is already being used.
I race at Sunset I think things are good right now but I do like the sound of twins.

That would work too !
Twin 25's...excellent.
Get a sponsor for the event, or maybe dedicate it to the fans. "Sunset Speedway Fan Appreciation Twin 25's".
First feature lines up like a normal night. The second feature is lined up with a total invert of all the cars either, on the lead lap, or maybe one lap down.
Give each feature winner a trophy but the "Sunset Speedway Fan Appreciation Twin 25's" winner is determined by the best combined finish of both races and the purse is paid out to the combined finish. That way no one sand bags to start up front for the second feature. Sandbaggers only do that because the format allows them.
So far I love it...I'm in.
We have 2 or 3 fan nights and that would work out perfectly.
