We have talked about this lately  . Since the LLM need a bit of time to start running full tilt each night , how about 50 lap features each night ? If we have enough input , the track may hear us . Let's see what e veryone has to say .

The only problem with 50 laps on a regular basis is that I think that you would get the same two or three cars winning every feature. I kind of like seeing the faster cars forced to the outside to make it to the front in a hurry.

50 lap features? lets see, 20 more laps than they run now. that might be alright for the teams with a good budget but what about low budget teams. more laps means more chance of wrecks, more wear on a set of tires and more fuel used. now are you talking about llm or late models? i have a difference on opinion about llm/late model and if the guys running all this fancy stuff on there cars can not get up to speed in 30 laps then why not go run kawartha where some of these cars should be. somewhere along the way the rules have got out of hand. i have to laugh because i know someone will reply like if you dont like whats happening then quit racing. that is not a problem, but how about the guys that can not afford a 40,000. plus mccoll car, when they get tired of same thing do you want them to quit to? you watch fumerton, low budget team, tries hard leads a lot of laps only to get a mid top ten finish. ask people like him if 50 laps would be good. leave well enough alone, racing is to expensive now with out more laps!

The current handicapping at most tracks puts the faster cars at the back. It makes for better racing for the fans as those  cars work through traffic.  I'm not 100% sure how they do it at Sunset, but I'm guessing it's the same.

There are enough specials that give the top runners time to get through the pack, and in most Invitationals, top cars start up front.  Regular night racing should be for teams to shoot for a championship with a fair handicap system. Once a driver gets better he will move towards the back until the teams with the toughest luck, less experience or inferior equipment are in the first few rows.  A 50 lap feature gives the top cars a greater shot at not only winning the points quicker but taking most of the money on their way. I think it's good the way it is, giving more cars a chance to win a feature.
