Well im gonna have to side with Doug, seeing as how everyone else on here is just taking this as a chance to take a stab at him.

I was over at Dougs place in the spring, picking up some stuff, looooooooong before racing started, and a good while before mall shows began.  And what I noticed was a race car that was already ``Primed, painted n weighed, ready to go on that race track ( Harry Hogg )  😀 ;D.  Along with that, the parts car ripped apart on 4 jack stands, new trailer built and finnished, and rewireing everything done.  This guy was hard at it ALL WINTER long, he lives, sleeps, and eats his race car.  Maybe thats why its fast???? 😮 😮 😮  And maybe the fact he can drive, avoid wrecks, and not so much as rub fenders from 30th place has something to do with it to, or loose his pin under preasure.............not being a hot head is a nice attribute in racing.

Look close at his car compared to some of the junkyard scrap heaps, its called pride people.  For starters he is one of the few drivers who understand how important weight balance is in this class, most 4 cyl guys dont bother to take it seriously.

Maybe the car has a tube frame, I dont know.  He showed me alot and told me alot but I didnt retain much of it, becouse I dont understand cars that talk to lap tops  ??? lol.  But if tech is to stupid to know the car should not have a frame, then power to him!!  Maybe you should take advantage of the lacksidazy teching and do the same. If your car is still sitting on your trailer, while your making these remarks, best unload it the od time and work on it, becouse im sure thats what Doug is doing right now....

I know the rules and understand them, add weight to make things fair.  But I DONT agree with it.  Stock car racing is about winning and trying to get ahead.  If you want a speck class, go to Goodwood Kartways, its called the arive and drive program.

Another thing, if they are just gonna stop teching, and just add weight anymore, you might as well let the 4 cyl guys  tin kit and raise there floors, so they can make led trays, because asking a guy to mount 300 lbs under his rotton floor is asking for an accident if you ask me.

If no other reason Doug is a nice guy and clean racer, and thats why he doesnt need these jabs.

I think it is not fair that they are giving doug 200 pounds this late in the season. Its also not fair that they took the legal tires off four cars because one car has done all the winning with them. Its all due to people like 240racer complaining about it.People that dont race at sunset complaining about it.  Something needs to be done but not slow the 10 down and leave the 03 and 51 alone.

Charlie7....maybe you would like to recind this statement....."Well im gonna have to side with Doug, seeing as how everyone else on here is just taking this as a chance to take a stab at him."  At no time did I take a "stab" at Doug....there is no doubt he puts effort into his car....and that I respect.  I am clearly making reference to the lack of safety, in where the weight is placed, and that tech let him run with it where it was...if in fact it was there on Saturday night.  The fact that they are adding weight this late in the season.....well thats a whole other can of worms!! 

Charlie, you are allowed to raise your floor up.  It can be even with the transmission tunnel, or a max of 12"

I don't know you but You are ahead of Donaldson aren't you?  It should have been expected that you were going to be a target, no one else in any of the other divisions is going to beat the Donaldson cars and with you in the way there will be no hattrick to be had. From where I sit that is not what the powers that be want to see.
I wish you luck but I think you are fighting a losing battle with all that weight and you are going to have to make a lot of "noise" to the right people to get rid of it
