The CRTC's reasoning for Canadian content is to preserve Canadian culture? Well, since growing up in Ontario in the 50's & 60's, I don't see much Canadian Culture left??? I guess singing God Save The Queen, The Nativity scene, the Lord's Prayer in schools, taking off ones hat in Legions, the RCMP having to wear a Mountie's Stetson is not considered part of the Canadian Culture???
Getting back to the argument about Free Trade and Canadian content, why can't I see Canadian content protected in the auto industry that I work in? Come on, we can't have it both ways. TSN does what they want, because they know they don't have any competition to speak of, the CRTC protects them!

TSN really made a huge mistake yesterday IMO. How many people don't have FOX to switch to? NASCAR should just pull TSN's contract and then we wouldn't have to watch anymore Lilydale freakin commercials >:(
NASCAR doesn't lose money in this deal. As NASCAR Paid Big Bucks to be called NASCAR Canada. They can't even sell the commercials to make up the money they had to pay NASCAR. It makes NASCAR look bad as what they did but I guess pissing of a few thousand fans doesn't matter too much too them.
True a lot of people use the PVR's to record and they are going to catch the first end of curling and be pissed off.
I had it recording as well as I wasn't sure if I would be home for the race but I was.
