I don't think Dale jr. is cut out to be a cup champion......
He makes mental blunders that cost him good finishes year after year....he has more fans than any other driver by far yet his results don't match his hype.....
then to wreck the field a lap down is one of two things...
a) he doesn't have good car control
b) he wrecked vickers purposely and selfishly
now i like listening to his interviews and all but i don't think he has the fire inside him like his dad.....he has everything already.....millions of fans, millions of dollars, an awesome ride.......what motivation does he have? he got all this being mediocre.
its like when he drives right against the wall inches from the wall at certain tracks (not darlington) when you drive inches from the wall the percentage chance of you brushing the wall over 4 or 5 hundred miles go way up.....so maybe you get a tenth of a second or something but then you see a replay of him brushing the wall and having to pit.....you don't see gordon or johnson doing what he does driving inches from the wall and look how many championships they have? i think he is more worried about being cool than getting the job done....
i'm really dissapointed in junior to this point of his career enough to label him a DUD!
Maybe you should have watched the race from his incar and after he made the mistake of missing his pits
He put on a clinic coming through the field.
He can drive and he makes good decisions but I think he freaked out on Sunday and made a big mistake.
i know but the damage was done......i would agree he has shown talent for sure and he did freak out.....but those dumb mistakes he makes are the difference between him and the elite drivers of the series...

I think that Jr. fans must also be Maple Leaf Fans, Moments of spark followed by seasons of disappointment....JMO ;D 😮 😉
