I don't think the bonus of winning a race should be added in when the chase starts....it should just be in the points system as it is...and make 1st place "10 points more" then it is now....and it's added right then, my biggest beef with the nascar points system is the gap between 1st & 2nd should be greater.....after all the point of these races is to win.

personally i enjoy the truck racing better...that martinsville race was an old style bump and banger...its too bad J.R. had the tire issue happen putting him down 3 laps...and tod bodine was hitting everything in his way.
the cup cars are just so boring now...i watch the start for a few laps and then the last 25 laps.

Like it or not Jeff Gordon will be in the chase. This not because of Jeff Gordon it could be anyone in this position. being the points leader to the chase and they should get something if you are giving points for wins.

Someone referred to Hockey all teams are started off the same. No advantage given to anyone it's the best of 7 and the chase should be everyone starts off with the same points and see who can advance to be number one after 10 races.

Evan, We are only 6 races in. There is 20 to go. Little jeffie could fall out in 5 or so races. It ain't over till the rag falls on the 26 race.  Personally, I'm with Longstreet and Ernie. and take Jimmy with em
