They could have still run...but like I said it woulda been like 9pm before they got going again...personnaly for the 500..it should have been done, but the worse thing to do would have been to wait 3 hours and then have to call it.

I just think sence nascar knew 100% this rain was comming we all did...they should have made a decision to say were racing to "XXXlaps" and then were stoping..but they could have shot them selves in the foot doing that as well...it puts them in a terrible postion.......

I still think they called it a little early. They only waited 15 min. Give it an hour or two. It is the Daytona 500. If they were able to get it restarted it would have been a helluva finish.

dopplar radar is so good now, they knew, and as Doug has said they were right anyways so why bother saying they shlda waited?!

They should start it earlier 1PM start would be fine as this give time if rain comes to wait it out a bit.

I think everyone saw enough stuff before this race during the past week. No a great Daytona 500. The Dizzy 500 was better.

I guess a lot of drivers are happy as they got out of Daytona without a wrecked race car.
