London, Ontario (August 22, 2011) – Jamie Collard is on a roll, winning
back to back features with the Southern Ontario Sprints.

It was the first time the SOS has run at Ohsweken Speedway all year when
the first race of four co-sanctioned with Ohsweken Speedway Sprints, SOD
and PST was rained out back on June 24th. The sky was clear and it was a
beautiful night for racing.

Unfortunately for track owner and reigning SOS champion, #0 Glenn
Styres, it did not start out as such a great night. Glenn flipped in the
first heat of the night doing considerable damage to the car. Ohsweken
Speedway regulars Jim Huppunen and former SOS competitor Dave Dykstra in
the #5d would also have hard wrecks in the heat races.

In the feature the #71 of Travis Cunningham started 3rd with points
leader Lee Ladouceur, Warren Mahoney, Adam West, Doug Banks and Jamie
Collard all taking starting spots in the 25 lap feature event.

Travis Cunningham jumped out to an early lead but it was short-lived as
Bryan Howland took over on lap 10. Jamie Collard started 21st after
qualifying from the B-Main, but he made his way to 10th by lap 11. He
was 5th by lap 15 and into 2nd chasing Howland down by lap 17. He tried
going to the outside exiting turn 2, but couldn't complete the pass. He
fell back, but got another chance when a caution flag flew for Dain
Naida on lap 22. Collard made the winning pass with 2 laps to go

Travis Cunningham held on for 7th while Lee Ladouceur took a 13th place
finish to hold onto the SOS points lead.

The following night's action was scheduled to take place at South Buxton
Raceway. However, as the cars were getting warmed up, a large
thunderstorm rolled in from the North and heavy rain hit the track
forcing the cancellation of the race.

NOTES

- With 3 races having been lost to rain already this season the SOS has
decided NOT to drop any points earned from prior events and the points
standings posted on the SOS website are official heading into the Labour
Day weekend's final 2 events.

- The fastest tour in Ontario gets back in action for the final rounds
of the SOS schedule Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th at
Brighton Speedway for the Labour Day Classic Weekend.

- Riverside Bar and Grill were announced as the sponsors for the Labour
Day Weekend TOPLESS Exhibition at Brighton Speedway. The race will be
$500 to win. All SOS rules apply, except NO wings allowed. A practice
session will be run on Saturday night and the race will be run Sunday
night after the SOS Finale.
