Haha... That would be to easy.
It is not saubles tech guys fault, it is the track owners fault for over turning there calls.
(ask Bruce Beacock the tech guy for one week, a couple years ago, Jay over turned his call so he quit) ??? ???
From what I heard they caught four of the 4 cyl drivers with no owners manuals. And they over turned them all, not just the #51 car now.
The 4 cyl class is a entry level class and needs to be kept a very competitive class. If a car is running away with the show, the should start throwing wait at them. I don't care if it takes 1000 pounds to slow them down.
There are a couple of car that steal the show every night at sauble or at least when I make it up there,  and the is holding me and alot of others friends of mine from building car and joining the "so called FUN".

Competitive fields of cars, makes people want to join in and have some fun. Not one car wonders running away with the show! 4-10 seems like some good racing, you just need to bring the run away cars back to the rest of the field.

Lol no there is a car that's a 160hp and weighs 2400 pounds he should be 3040 pounds but its "unsafe" so maybe he shouldn't used that motor?????? my Guss is run what you brung they said in the rules also no vvt or vtec but that's OK

i don't have a dog in this fight, just curious, how do they decide what the legal minimum weight of each car is supposed to be if they don't actually use the rules listed? for example, when a 140+- hp dohc neon comes across the scale after a win, what is the legal minimum weight if not the 2700lbs decreed by rules? How does the tech man know what is legal?
just wondering

The "tech" ask you what your weight is so it is what ever you say....

Saubles Tech guys need to do a little more homework on the cars racing in the 4 cyl division. BUT why would they if there calls get over turned all the time.

As for the adding all the weight to the cars, being "unsafe". If the driver and crew of those cars think it is unsafe to add all this extra weight then change the motor to something with less hp. END OF STORY, why change the rules for a couple cars. That just open a can of worms. If they do that what next?? AWD subaru wrx????
