Abel Castelein died today. Abel was a mini stock racer and champion in Southern Ontario and a school teacher in Cayuga Ontario.
Always one of the top runners where ever he ran, his last race was Saturday at the Delaware 4 cylinder invitational where he finished 3rd.
One season not too long ago, Abel did the "Triple" winning the mini stock championships at Humberstone, Merrttiville and Ohsweken all in the same season.
R.I.P. Abel, condolences to your family, friends and fans.
RIP Abel!!! The guy sure was entertaining in that mini stock..The big racetrack in the sky gets another fine driver!!!

great pics derek...after wrecking his car at the beginning of the season at ohsweken, dave bailey let abel race his legendary mustang for the rest of 2011, and he took a number of checkers with it also.
