Merrittville Speedway’s inaugural World of Outlaws Late Model Event – a presentation of Brian’s Tire Repair, Turn 4 Collision and PineView Drywall was about all things ‘Canadian.’ The Extreme Thursday could not have had a more fitting story with Tim Fuller and Graham Mackay combining for a double-double.

“Well … he’s almost Canadian,” exclaimed Oh Canada Eh Dinner Theatre emcee Jim ‘Mr. Canada’ Cooper in Victory Lane after learning that Fuller hailed from Edwards NY – about an hour away Kingston Ontario posing a question“can you say Eh?”

Fuller who had competed previously at the Thorold DIRTcar sanctioned facility in Big Block and 358 Modified events shouted out an Eh and had to be thinking Yeh after accepting the one of a kind custom crafted trophy and $10,000 cheque from the popular dinner theatre’s resident Mountie and other costumed “Canadian” characters.

Fuller’s second straight win on the WoO LMS Great Northern Tour saw the Gypsum Express driver hoist the unique award with help from it’s creator - Bicknell Racing Products’ Manufacturing head Bob Slack.

Although about a month apart – Graham Mackay ran to his second straight win in the 2010 Duel on the Dirt Big 6 Series of home track events leading up to two combined events against the Brighton Speedway Pro Stocks.

"The secret tonight was to being smooth because the track was rough," MacKay said. "You couldn't be aggressive in the corners or you would just wash out."

The 25 lap feature saw Al Sleight as the early leader before Welland's Graham MacKay took the lead after the third restart on Lap 14. Through the final 10 laps MacKay held off Dolf McCready for the win while Sleight settled for third. Shayne Pierce – a 2010 Rookie in the L. St. Amand Enterprises 358 Modified Division hopped into his former car to take 4th while Brighton Speedway Pro Stock competitor invaded – taking home a 5th place finish.
