Nascar final event

Well I just made the mistake of checking the price for a ticket to next weeks race and based on the price of $40.00 wonder how many will go. I just went to Barrie and spent $35.00 for a seat which included 2/3 of a card of their local series cars so I got about 6 hours of racing for the $35.00 fee. Here I get 2 hours of racing for $40, something doesn't seem right. I realize that each track decides what price to charge and they are free to set whatever price they wish. However if they expect fans to attend their events they might want to reconsider overpricing themselves. I just bought front row seats for the Martinsville race for $55.00 US there I get to see 43 cars where at Kawartha I get to see what 20 cars hopefully. Even if I decided to only att the Truck race at Martinsville I could sit in general admission for $30.00 and again 30 plus trucks there. I was reading an article recently where Derek and Mark Dilley have organized a number of track promoters to see what they can do to help bring back the fans and improve the quality of racing all across Ontario and applaud them for that. But here's a perfect example of forcing the fans away cause I can't afford the price of 2 adult tickets and a child seat for just 2 hours of entertainment, this doesn't include food or gas. What could have been 7 people coming results in 0 people coming? Maybe that's an easier way to put it. Feel free to rip me apart for my comments but something just doesn't add up considering there is little for a fan to do at the race during downtime and you can't buy any tickets in advance you have to stand and wait in the line that day.Sorry Derek this is one time I can't support you!!!!!!

It appears that pricing is what it is and it will only get worse. Too bad cause if that is the price going forward I will have to cut back on the number of events I attend. I just don't understand their reasoning in charging such a price when they are begging for fans to come and watch. At that price less will go cause most of the people going are family's so it's not just the cost of one ticket they are paying for its 2 or 3 or more. Seems like NASCAR is listening to the fans in the States will they listen to the fans in Canada?
