I'm sure there will be something at the Western Fair in the spring again but it has morphed into a Custom and speed show instead of the all racing show it was a few years ago. Too many car dealerships attend though. If that is the case again I may not go.

im with you on the dealerships who cares about the new junk there building .....although im sure thats what pays the bills at those kind of car shows...I wont go back this year as I called to get my CVM 36 dodge..... all steel was chromed in fact more chrome then any street/racecar  ive ever seen(OVER 10,000 in chrome)....they turned it down lol mean while 2 years before we won best racecar at  western fair race car  show...

Well March that likely confirms the new stuff taking up a lot of space again. I don't need to spend 12 or 15 bucks to go see a new car lot. I can see displaying the new performance/pony cars but the other crap. No thanx. I'd rather go to Plunket's. The money goes to a good cause there.

if you're willing to travel (take the wife shopping for the weekend), there is a big one in Syracuse NY mid March which usually occupies a couple buildings at the Fairgrounds and has tons of race cars (over 80), not customs.
There is a show there in November which is a racing trade show and the National Parts Peddler auction.
Gawd knows I've been so disappointed in the show at the International Centre in Mississauga where the stock car participation gets less and less every year. Even years ago, we used to go hoping to see maybe 20 oval track cars in a sea of customs and rice rockets. The show put on by Inside Track had a little bit of everything but not a lot of anything specific, was too expensive for admission, and really was preaching to the already converted. Maybe shopping mall shows are the way to go to get potentially new fans interested. Seems to work well in Niagara.
It just seems the internet makes attending these shows less important every season as there are usually folks posting photos of the race cars the same day. Maybe a promoter would be smart to make photographers sign a waver saying they wouldn't post photos until after the show was over.
ps-check the Gater Racing News website re details of the 2013 Syracuse show. Currently the 2012 info is still up
