checkout the new thundercar facebook page. drivers from different tracks are discussing what they would like to see done with  this division . there seems to be a difference in opinion as to what a certain track wants to happen with this class then what the drivers want to happen . i believe it could be a very  interesting series with a ton of old llm cars mixed in with the current thunder cars .  the tracks need to keep this class affordable or they will lose cars . do we really need $30,000 thunder cars  with tube clips ?

Rob I agree, but the you cant go backwards.

The guys in this class that have the fast and expensive cars cant be expected to go back, that will never fly.  All you can do is LOCK IN the rules we already have for like 10 years.  They should not even discuss the rules package at the meeting!

I remember when ran this class the rules hardley changed from like 1999 up to about 2006 or so.....thats when Barrie Speedway started with ''next gen'' thundercar.  Newer bodies, removing stock floors, firewalls, rocker panels, etc.  Then came the most idiotic changes to soon:  9 inch rear ends, aftermarket shocks,  any and all control arms and ball joints.  Hell, you dont even need a stock front clip anymore!  Im not going out and putting a Chevelle clip on my Monte, TO MUCH TIME AND MONEY.

There was never any reason to leave the stock 7.5 rear end and go to the 9 inch, much less a floater  ::)  You can buy brand new chevy stock from Mosier Engeneering, and they have all the axles, backing plates, gears, and extra parts youl ever need.

The only thing I ever thought was a good change was the Holley 4412 from the good ole Rochester, and allowing new trailing arms/bushings front and rear, but had to remain STOCK lengths from mounting point to mounting point

don't know how to link it , but  look under thundercar on fb.
charlie : why can't those fast cars convert back ? why is it always expected for the mid packers or back markers to step up and spend more money . ? the fb page is intended for peterborough, mosport, kawartha , but  this class needs to have  1 set of rules for all of ontario. the class is suppose to be a stepping stone to getting into a late model and it's getting out of hand what is allowed on these cars. we won't even get into the teching here that is a whole other subject . these guys want affordable thunder cars to race weekly.
