Hill3 no one is saying Gordon did the right thing, he shouldn't have punted Ambrose when the race started bad move but look at the action Nascar took.

If I remember correctly you have 3 laps to serve the black flag. So Gordon did complete the race. Also what happened to guys that punted guys after the race or in the pits they didn't miss a race. Wrecking someone in the pits. This is really dangerous as you have other guys not in cars in there.

As far as I can see it depends who the driver or sponsor is.

Gordon should have been 1st or 2nd on the restart as the yellow was out and the field is frozen. Nascar knew this was going to happen so why not hold off the restart and fix the problem or don't start the race till they goit Gordon off the track. They knew it is good for the fans and the ratings and that is why they started the race knowing he was going to punt Ambrose.

I never really liked Robbie Gordon anyways. If he is a lap down he holds up the leaders. If you're going to go a lap down but still on the lead lap maybe I can see you trying to hold off the leaders, but if you're already a lap down or more why mess with the order of things, just let them go by. He's the only one who does this on a regular basis. I think that you can't really compare Stewart and Gordon either. Stewart shoots his mouth off in the heat of the moment, and has the "win or crash" attitude and sometimes pushes it way too hard when he's already behind too far. Gordon may have driven everything under the sun, but he still has a bad attitude and is not courteous to the other drivers. Stewart is more impatient and often doesn't think about what he says before he says it. Gordon just thinks about himself and no one else. Didn't he crash someone on the lead lap when he was a lap down or something at Sonoma a few years ago? I think I remember something like that happening and some people were very upset then too. If Nascar made a mistake, fine, but deal with the officials later. Ignoring the black like he did should mean bye-bye... go race golf carts in the Paris-Dakar or whatever.

What did Robby Gordon do that has everyone in such an uproar?? I saw the start of the race but missed the end as I had to be at my local track!! Was it a case of not going back to the 14th spot they put him in?? Or did he do something out of the ordinary????

I'v always been a big Robby Gordon fan, always will be. Right or wrong the way Robby handled the situation is exactly the way myself and any other fan of his would have extected him to handle it right down to the burnuots.

Way to go Robby!!!

With the way the racers personalities are so watered down now in the name of doing the right thing for the sponsors, guys like Robby and to a smaller degree Tony Stewart are a huge breath of fresh air.

Did anybody see the footage of Robby playing bumper tag with another truck in the desert at Dakar last year?!! rock on Robby
