Until GM Canada wakes up, and does not ride the coat tails of the US racing scene as many US companies that are in Canada this will not change, Dale Jr, Jeff G are in G.M., so in the eyes of the pencil pushers in Oshawa, who the heck is Donny, J.R. and Gibbons to them. I would think that Ford is a little bit more in tune to the teams thanks to Jacombs and Micks, but that would have to be answered by those closer to that situation.

We race Chevrolet, without help from GM, and only because we started with Chevy and our engine inventory is too high to switch unless the racing started to pay more which would warrant a change.
Although we race Chevy, In my Driveway at home is a new 300C Chrysler and a new 1/2 ton Dodge Hemi.

I support Dodge because they support the NASCAR CTS and the old CASCAR, and I think Rick from Dodge that runs the show and Sponsorship program for the Dodge teams is one of the nicest, most professional members in Racing today.

If NASCAR was to hand out an award for long time support by a sponsor to a series, I would gaurentee Ricks name is already on the trophy. I have always made an effort to use the products that help fund our sport and I would hope race fans do the same.

The stat sheet at the top of this storey tells it all when you take a look a the winnings for the Dodge entry's.
Its not the purse money making them coin as much as it is Dodge money's being invested back into the Dodge Teams.

Well as mentioned in previous posts I had sent a couple emails to GM asking why they refused to support a series in Canada especially the drivers considering their domination in the series.  The reply I got back was they wanted to focus on more pressing issues, I feel bad for owning a GM product but glad most people never associate GM with Saturn.LOL  Cause then I might have to buy a different make of car.  It truly is disappointing that a manufacturer won't help out someone who is using their product to try and win in a series.  Maybe if all the manufacturers stopped over stocking inventory they might have some extra money to spend on helping out the deserving teams in this series.

But its not just the manufacturers that need to support the teams.  I can't believe how closed minded the media is on this.  I've basically sent an email to the sports editors of the Sun and the Star each week asking if they will be there to provide some small coverage for the series and I get the reply that the stick and ball editors take all the space.  So much for Canadian content in our papers.  Thank goodness for this site and Inside Track for keeping updated on racing information in Canada.
