PineCrest, do you work with or own a team?  If so, your probably the guy that whines about everything under the sun.  Wake up and smell the coffee dude,  Nascar in Canada is going to do wonders for motorsports.
If you have ever been to a "controlled" meeting,  you would know....."never let racers run a meeting" or decide what is right and wrong.  Nascar has been very good to us by not changing a bunch of rules. Just safety stuff mainly.
Oh ya, if you think most of Canada is not drastically influenced by the  USA,  pull the rock off your head,  they even own the "Hudson Bay Company", you know the first company Canada ever had.  Not to mention they own the majority of the oil companys in this great country of ours.
Lets just see how this all plays out.  We now have time to start marketing our programs for next season,  alot of us will be running limited schedules this year, and tryiing to sell our product to one corporation or another.  Hopefully teams can get partial deals now and sell the deal for the years to come. Mark Dilley had a great interview last week on Raceline, i belive there is a link to it on one of these forum topics, listen to it, it makes a whole lot of sense.
My prediction is 30 cars at the first race and up to 45 at edmonton and montreal.
Anyway,  lets keep positive and get your cars together for the best racing Canada has ever seen.  See you all out west, and hopefully a couple out east as well!!    #21  Jason White

I have been saying all along that once all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed that good things will be coming. The schedule took a lot longer to come out I am sure then NASCAR wanted it out sooner too. BUT without the track owners commiting how can they go ahead and put out the schedule. Sure they could go ahead and put out a partial schedule but again without the i's dotted and the t's crossed things can't get done. Unless we are working for NASCAR wearing their shoes walking in their steps to get the job done we don't know what is going on behind closed doors. The deal is done and the paper work is out. Take hold of it teams now and get your job done now. I know the teams and drivers will put on the best show they can for the fans.

"The meeting was controlled"...maybe "controlled" was a bad choice of a word. Someone has "to take a stand," "take charge" ...."be the head of the team" "the leader"......."the boss"....oh that's me  😮 😉 I am sure you get the picture.  Or whatever word you want to replace it with.

Go out with the info you have and get the sponsorships and remember if they say no they are NOT saying no to you. They are saying no to a GREAT opportunity.

Keep Smilin'  🙂

Someone asked me if anything was mentioned about shocks at the meeting? I said I'd ask around for him? It wasn't Ken Schrader either. 😉

Besides tires and safety, are there any other spec changes coming this year?

Hey Pincreast. You sure dont have to look real long at this site to find out who the *** really are and it is my guess that you are the President of the Club. Congradulations on the promotion.
Just for the record I
* more about the rule changes, the lack of stuff deal, and the slow times it took to make this deal happen, and I did so in person, on the phone and even on web.
Am I at the top of NASCAR's list because I didnt bash them after the meeting- HELL NO !!
I went to the meeting expecting allot of BAD and it didnt happen... instead the meeting was all good and that is the reason I shut my mouth, quit
* and took an entire new out look on the whole deal.
Is it perfect- not yet... but its a start and I think once the thing gets going it will becoime the very best Stock Car Series in CANADA, as it once was. As for your comments regarding the awards presentation in New York and the chance to race in the Allstar race, your wrong not to think this is a really big deal and just ask J.R. if that would have pumped up his Championship. I think Donny is one of the best drivers to every come out of Canada and his win record, championship records and the fact that he is still kicking
at his age ( sorry Don, but you are getting older) is a remarkable piece of history. If Donny could have the oppertunitry to go to New York and race in the Allstar deal I gaurentee you with all that he has accomplished in racing, this would be the iceing on the cake.
The score is NASCAR 10- Pinecreast 0
Take that to your next ****** board of directors meeting.
P.S. Have a nice day !!

well, well

I read Midamerica's initial post, thought to myself this can be good for Canadian racing, sure hope it is, after all if he can make such a drastic turn around then maybe there is a chance.

I read Pinecrests post and thought ya he's probably right about 50% of what will happen but lets "HOPE" it is a good thing for Canadian racers.

I will side with pincrest, sure hope it helps elevate the game here in Canada, but cannot help but think all it will do is the same thing that has happened in cup, the little guy, the independent one car team is done like dinner, finished (ya I know about Gordon)(even he wants to add a team).  In the end all it will really do is end up costing everyone more money.

Midamerica ................. you should be asshammed of your self for resorting to name calling because you don't agree with pinecrest.
