greg -- there is just no sense in continuing to post here ,,,, it does not matter what you say he will turn it around as he sees fit -- I am not sure why the admin has not done something about this yet -- I for one am way to busy to read bull@#&@ like that .. I am withdrawing from this board ... thanks ( I suggest others do not feed the trolls !! they sure are darn hungry )
I would hate to see you leave because of another poster on the board, I guess I have thick skin, but I don't let it get to me. I pick out the opinions they have and or the facts, and let the rest fall to the ground.
"Some people are only happy when they are complaining".
I have found this to be true many times on this board, but I stick it out. Just don't let them drag you in to a confrontation.
Greg had some very good points.
Greasemonkey.
Everyone one has the right to express their opinions it is the personal attack on each other that has gotten out of control and I will be taking action this and users will be getting warnings. I thought this would stop once the racing started but it hasn't but it will be as of now.
So to make myself clear
1. I will not put up with personal attacks on each other. If you want to do this do it via your own email addresses.
2. No commercial advertising on the site. If you are not sure if what you want to posting is commercial or not, send me a message with what you want to post and I will tell you.
3. Lets try to keep this section to facts and leave rumors and not facts in the rumors section.
as i mentioned earlier, Tim Miller does have a writeup about the race in the wheels section of todays Hamilton Spectator...almost a 1/2 page...beside the hyundai ad...across from the full page mazda ad...nizzan has a 1/2 page ad...mazda has another 1/4 page...last 2 pages are full page for ford and dodge...no chevy ads...(for Greg's benefit..lol)...in the writeup Mr Miller notes that the stands were far from full claiming that the weather forcast and the $45 admission may have been factors...he hopes the tire and suspension issues will be sorted out keeping the carnage to a minimum next race...and that the Whitlock ride sponsored by the Hamilton Tigercats, didnt score a touchdown, but finished 21st...lol.
Just saw the Hamilton Spectator with the article written by Tim Miller.
It was not all that bad- but it was not all that good at the same time.
He talked about Donny making an emotional speech on behalf of his car owner John Fitzpatrick, which was well deserved and Donny showed his emotional side regarding his car owner.
I would have to say that was the best part of his storey..
His bad side of the storey was his lack of correct information I think.
Quote- We all had a hard time with setups and the new tire.
I didn't here one Guy say they had a problem with setups, also the new GOODYEAR tire did a great job and everyone thought the tires were awesome.
Quote- the grand stands were only a third filled...
Up until the National Anthems they were only a third filled but by the green flag the place was at least 75% filled to capacity. I guess the fans were taking in the snack bar or beer tent before the race but they did sit down to a good show (based on the fans determination not the racers).
Quote- the Hamilton Tiger Cats were on the 39 car and they did not score a touch down finishing 21st.
Its not like the Tiger Cats have never got there butts kicked before, this was justified.
Dave finished 21st and had a bad day which had nothing to do with the Tiger Cats or there connection with loosing.
Quote- 85 Yellow flag laps...
Yes the racing was a little over the edge for everyone and guys were taking chances that they normally would never take, thus the cautions. I would have to say the fans didn't mind the cautions as they have never seen that many wrecks at Cayuga.
Tim Miller is not a bad guy. His knowledge of racing is everything from Drag Racing, to Dirt, to Nascar, and he does a pretty good job of it. I just wish for once he would back us up as race teams as we all need the support right now. We could use all of the positive press releases possable in order to make this thing a go, and that is fact not fiction.
Its bad enough that the purse money was put out by the media, ( Winner paid $5050.00 and the next race at Mosport is only $3610.00) we need someone to start writing on the positive side of this deal.
Again, I am not bashing Miller and I know he writes for a paper that thinks AutoRacing is not a sport, unless its F1 or Nextel Cup and they can get the storeys for free from the Associated Press, but come on Timmy, tell them you need a whole page for AutoRacing(Locally) instead of running stories about some Cricket Team.

What was the longest green flag run? 15 laps? Almost enough laps to get heat in the tires. On a 5/8 track with only 23 cars on it, I'm surprised that the drivers could find something to spin. How many cars finished? 10?
I'd have thrown up if I had paid $45.00 to watch such crap.
Ya, they saw some great racing. 18 restarts/heat races with fewer cars in each one that added up to the CDN race scene saving 200 lap Nascar event.
I see better racing for free done by kids on bikes around my court.
