I am going to assume that everyone here is talking about pavement racing.

From what I have seen in person, and read, the problem dosen't exist on dirt.

Obviously you haven't been to South Buxton, or even the East side of MI...

mid is your point for the touring series only your do you wish to include local sat nite racing. if you do i see that the set of problems are different between the two. indy nascar etc have made it expensive to belong plus what it cost to race,it is protocol or split series that cause the touring series problems. protocol for nascar(top 35 rule, huge risk little reward) protocol for f1(mainly bernie is the problem) in indy and cart split is the problem it is the same with rolex and lemans if these four series merged it would solve a lot in imho.

Silverstone you could not have said it better co-operation with all tracks not just 1 or 2.A lot of drivers are jumping from other classes at local tracks ( Late Model ,Truck, Etc ) and moving onto
Series Racing (NCTS, SOS Sprints ,ETC ).IN a 60 Miles area to London there is 15-20 drivers registered in the Southern Ontario Sprint Series which is a fair bit when they has 50 cars registered
in the series ( This does not count drivers that show up non registered)
Note : SOS ( Southern Ontario Sprints )run at 3 Tracks
Brighton Speedway - 6Times
Ohsweken Speedway 4 Times
South Buxton Speedway-# 3 Times
This series ispacking them in at these tracks & with the ODLM (Ontario Dirt Late Models ) planning more races next year in there series. I hate to say Paved tracks you had better be ready or this type of racing will take a few tracks from you. There is co-operation with these tracks ( Dirt )
As for paved tracks right now there is bickering between tracks
Delaware & Flamboro, Sunset & Barrie
About 2 years ago I suggested to the WWS that the series should have one big race at the end of the year for overall champion for Ontario ( Late Model ). The reply I got back was that there was co-operation with the tracks ( Ontario ). This race could have been moved around to a different track every year. Now you only have 2 tracks in this group ( WWS).
All tracks ( Ontario ) have to come together as was said the days of 38-40 car fields will be a thing of the past.
Using  a track as an example do i ( Fan ) want to pay $30.00 for a seat to see a 300 lap race with no quarintee of 38-40 cars.
When the tracks are having a hard enough time getting 20 cars.
Do you want to pay this price for a glorified regular Late Model race I do not think so.
To finish this subject until you get all tracks together you unfortunally will not get full fields  of Late Models and the problem will continue. Now tracks lets sit down and talk and get this problem settled
