several post super series teams have run west dates dowler,nichol and the dennis boys among others,the only change we ask was they run 8" Goodyear's.our races are 125 green flag laps,no weight breaks for the crates. the former super series cars did not have to dail back,but we opened the carb rule for the former sportsman cars.our next event is in calagary on aug 18.what nascar told us was that they would not support or run a west super series or a sportsman division,that is when the Club Saskatoon stock car racing assoc.,along with drivers and team owners had to come up with  WEST. also bob Ennis and Geoff johnson out in bc started the wcss mirroring ncts rules.

Buy your count that makes 7 cars from the West and to the best of my count there is 12 for sure going to Vernon and 14 going onto Edmonton.
If that is the case they should have close to 20 cars at each event, which has been the norm here in Ontario.

I talked with several guys on the phone today that agree with the fact that we should all be going West, but also agree it's a huge expence to travel that far without some time of support from the series.
I suggested that NASCAR should approach Sunoco, as they are the fuel sponsor, and see if they would put up free fuel for the teams based on 5 miles per gallon at 5000 miles return trip. In return every team must run a Sunoco 3' x 8' decal on the side of there trailers, and at the travel races must fly a Sunoco decal on the top of the front windsheild.
As well, NASCAR could approach a Hotel chain for free rooms- up to 4 per team and the same rule applies- a decal on every trailer and car.
This would help out allot and I for one would travel West if NASCAR could bring this type of marketing to the table.
As well, and I am not forgetting my buddy southernsponor, the Western teams that want to travel East should be intitled to the same format, as they have the same costs we do.

If you think of the Olyimpics- they get everything sponsored- free rental cars- free food- free lodging- free airfares- and even free Beer. What the heck is wrong with sponsoring us as racers that are going to run the corperate logo's for an entire season, not just for a month like the Olyimpics. Is this not a better value in marketing ??

If something like this was to happen you could gaurentee at least 40 cars at each event and make qualifying a bigger part of the show as it would come down to making the show or loading up and going onto the next one.

Does anyone agree ??, and please no comments like are you dreaming !! Did you stop in Thunder Bay ??
This deal could be offered to another fuel supplier like Husky going West, and Irving going East. I am sure everyone in the series would run the decal and thank them for helping us out on a International level.
