Thats a first... being called arrogant ... did someone do something in her Corn Flakes !!
Hey Sue I hate to burst your bubble but 99% of the PEOPLE in this Series are very much down to earth, hard working, competetive people and work as teams better then most marriges.
Another point is, every racer comes from grass routes racing, saturday night door slammers, sunday- I prayed in my race car instead of church, Tailgates were ment for tool boxes not beer type of individuals.
Please dont hammer all of us, or put us all in the same category as we are caught up in racing as bad as any race fan has it, the only differance is we spend allot more money providing the entertainment.
You are more then welcome to voice your opionon, hell knows I have in the past, but we are all trying to do a great job in the NASCAR CTS series by working hard, dealing with sponsors, dealing with the media, dealing with the sanctioning body, all at the same time trying to race and put on a good show for the paying public. The only differance between a Saturday night racer, and what we do, is the fact that when everyones out havin fun racing on Saturday night, were all back in our shops working on race cars. Was the Saturday night racing better for all of us ?? HELL YEA !!
But were racers and we all feel the same way about it.
Hell, we live for racing so much if someone could invent a way to bottle the smell of race fuel in a aftershave we would all wear it... Now thats dedication at its best !!!

yep but they shure forgot it.I just stated the facts as l see them, now all the complainers have disapeard,so the verdict is Cascar /Nascar is king thats fine, and oh yea,l agree Steckley is a first class guy,i said some not all,but its a fact many race fans including a lot of posters on this board hate cascar/nascar why?,All of a sudden everyone is on the defensive (we luv cascar its the best oh you are so unfair, how can anyone call it nascar pleaze,)now we all luv it thats fine its the best l'm wrong, shut down the web site what a bunch of pansies you are ???
What are you trying to say Sue?? We can hate NASCAR or CASCAR but we can love racing and support our drivers on Sunday.
I don't even get what is going on here. As for this NASCAR/CASCAR hating stuff, if you've ever watched windtunnel you hear the complaints all time from people saying there is too much talk about NASCAR and they want some other forms of racing to be showcased. Its amazing how many people talk so badly about NASCAr on tv and message boards, but yet they still watch it. MOst of the people on this board are diehard race fans in general be it NASCAR or a weekly show on a Saturday night.
To me the series never grew becasue Canadian simply are not as invovled in Stock Car racing as Americans are. It is the same for baseball. How many Canadian make baseball a weekly past time? Americans do. Our past time can be considered hockey I guess, but when it comes to racing, Canadians are more into the road course stuff. Most of our go karting is aspahlt road racing , whereas in the US it is a lot mroe Oval. The majority of people I know that say the ywatch racing only watch NASCAR and can't be considered a real race fan. The truth is simply that the general Canadian public needs to see the NASCAR name before they get invovled in something. I've witnessed people make fun of CASCAr never having seen what it was simply becasue it wasn't NASCAR.
Any publicity is good publicity too is a saying is it not. Tehre may be some talk on this board and other places, but I think we all have a right to say the things we do since we all buy tickets to CASCAR races and are the core of the CASCAR fanbase; and some of us even spend hundreds of thousands on owning a raceteam.
I've been around the cascar/nascar circuit for four years. I have come to know many of the drivers and crew members. To say that they are arrogant is not right. I'll admit some of them (very few) have attitudes, but most of that comes from them having a bad day qualifying or practicing. I walk up and down on autograph session day like very other fan and have never had a problem with any of the drivers or crew being arrogant. These guys work very hard including the smaller funded teams. But all and all the general atomsphere is positive. A lot of these drivers have come from Friday or Saturday night racing. That's how they got started. Nascar now promotes their "Home Tracks" with commericals to show that this is how racers got started.
