I've been down to South Buxton, and it's a good facility, but they've been in a state of ownership turmoil for the past two seasons. Add the fact they don't have UMP sanctioning anymore, combined with numerous controversial decisions/indecisions on-track and in tech and the track surface relative to Merritville/Oshweken (ie. very poor), and they've lost cars hand over fist the past couple of seasons. I know they're losing some big names across the board after this season, and there hasn't been much said on people moving up/in to take their place...
Hello Mobil 1 the Modifieds at South Buxton were still UMP sanctioned this year.As for the track this year it was in good shape with the exception of maybe one week.As for the racing this year it was good to excellant ( Late Models ).The comp4 averaged 16-18 in the feature.Sport Stock was one that was down 14-16 cars.Modifieds down to12-14 in feature.Late Models
had close to full fields 20-24 car fields. As you no car counts were down at all tracks but the late Models at SBR are strong and getting stronger. As for losing drivers it happens everywhere
It does not just happen here (SBR ) or Delaware .Every track it happens to.Why well costs ( repairs, track admissions, cost to get racecar to track etc. Also your statement there was controversal decisions. At this track this year there was only 1 protest this year and it was a minor one.And last your statement
with not much happening re drivers moving up.You donot know what is going on until the season starts .Again drivers move up and drivers leave it is the nature of the sport.By the way DJ Kennington drove at SBR this year and I talked to him after and he said he had a ball and would love to do more ( Dirt Racing ) if he had more time.Anything can happen
