shadowracer reguarding Problems At Flamboro Speedway on the GRR site. You were wondering about South Buxton Raceway being right in town if there is any problems with noise. The answer would be no people inthat small town all go to the races and there is no problems with noise complaints. When they have big crowds like last weekend ( Castrol Latemodel Shootout ) they help out by letting fans park in there laneways or even help fans find parking. The lot last weekend was so full they had to close the gates and people parked on the road,Township yard
and down old highway 98.There are no time restrictions. The track used to run late into the night 5 Years ago ( Finish like 12A.M-1A.M. ) . The racetrack now have there shows under control now start at 7 P.M. done by 10:30 P.M. with the odd night 11P.M.If you have a chance to go there next year pencil it in especially when the Sprints run there shows there or when the Late Models run especially the Late Model Shootout
Yikes, I'll bet the washroom lineups were awful!
Anyway yeah they've been runnign a pretty good show the last few years. Truth be told, this is the first year in a long time that I didn't get down there at all. (spent a lot of Saturdays nights at Flamboro this year, sorta following the WWS series, since our Delaware guys were going there to race.)
However, you can bank on me being at the LM shootout next year. Decided to do Oktoberfest instead this year and was really sort of disappointed with the way it ran. We'll be hitting Buxton for sure.
Depends on if there's a Buxton or not in 2008....
Mobile 1 Do not know what you are refering to because all indications that I have heard is that next year is to be better than this year.Watch for more specials possibly Dirt Modified special along with Sprints and at least 1 Late Model Special (Shootout ) and maybe one more late Model Special. By the way see that Jay Doerr purchased a Dirt Modified and will be racing at Oshwegan.Looks like another asphalt driver going to Dirt. Also
hope Delaware get together with Flamboro and get things settled ( car count ) because it looks like Doerr and Tyler Brown leaving Delaware regular shows and doing Specials only.Brown for sure ( re interview Race Time Radio ) as for Doerr probably the same as Oshwegan runs Friday nights.Hope they get it settled as Delaware counts are down and unfortunally sliding.By the way Mobil 1 if you have not been to Buxton come on down you may like it.
Doerr car forsale at Mcalls website.
