I have to admit, I'm a little foozled here myself. Personally I don't get the whole OSS-CRO thing anymore and its a little frustrating. I know for my part as a mod, all I care about is keeping some semblance of respect-civility-age inclusiveness on the boards, OSS or otherwise.

I'm not sure why just talking about the OSS seems to be verboten. That's just dumb IMO. Its a series like any other series...as long as everyone's being civil, why would we stifle talk on the matter?

That's not, and never has been what we're all about. At least, I'd like to think not.

People have asked me to post the release I got from the OSS but I can't release it as it is not an accurate release. The release is not part of Flamboro Speedway and this is confirmed so the release will not be on here.

The net is a good place but information gets posted so fast and doesn't get confirmed and this seems to cause troubles. Rumors are rumors but press releases should be accurate. Am I right or not??

Maybe Evan, the site should have a disclaimer similar to the above something like "The views expressed here are those of the members and do not necessarily reflect those of CanadianRacingOnline".

Myself, in most cases I don't  believe in censorship, with the obvious exceptions profanity and threats, but for the most part, let the members have their say, if we don't like it, we don't have to read it, or post an opposing view and move on.

The OSS is only contraversal because people are making it.Lol.
I would be more worried about their schedule at the start of the season in 60 days or during the seaon. Have the OSS, in only their second year, gained that huge a following? The people that should be concerned about their changing schedule are person involved with the OSS, racers, drivers, crews, families, sponsors.....not outsiders questioning their every move as they try to put a series together. It's obvious there are persons that hate what they, OSS, are trying to do or the persons trying to do it. Does it matter how many cars they say they are going too have now? Their are a couple of other series that are around and every year I hear they will have 20 cars and they have maybe 10 to 12 cars at most show, sure dont see people complaining about them. Some people just have a hard_n for the OSS. Just like the little digs on here about Sunset being better than Barrie and vice a versa, very comical reading for an outsider, that likes both for different reasons.

And Evan you are the CRO, its your board, so anything thing you post will always be considered CRO, you cant have it both ways.

As for myself, if it has OSS in the heading I wont read it anymore, till the season starts, when it all really matters.

No as a company which CRO is it stays neutral to these arguments. I my self can have an opinion that won't affect how CRO runs.

In the past yes my views are all taken as the views of CRO but now they are not as the views will not affect CRO's sponsor or CRO and that is what is all about.

CRO is not only about me and sometimes it seems that way but not anymore it is brought back to the way it used to be but with some terms of the Coc and some moderators. CRO is about the members on the site. So why can't I have a view??? That's not right.

People do question other series and they did that when Nascar took over the CASCAR. The only reason we didn't have the same thing happen is they never came on here to battle it out with members. They did it by getting the site up and getting a schedule up and not promissing the sky to people.

You don't think people from NCATS don't come on the site and read what is going on? They do and remember how we all complained that there was no site for them and then it appeared and we complained it was all US.

So what you are saying is not the case. People battled it out many years ago with the ISA promissing everything. So it is not only the OSS that get questioned by the members here and they won't be the last.

Also teams have contacted me and asked me to keep them up to date on what is happening with the OSS and I said talk to your board of directors.

As I stated before in the announcement when you post on here be ready to answer questions on your post and if you don't like what you see you don't have to reply or in fact you can do what you want don't read it.
