I agree with Turn1.
The purpose of this Site or any forum site should be to allow the members to discuss the controversial topics of the day. The OSS is one of most controversial topics and people have strong opinions for and against. We should be able to discuss them here. If we can't then this forum has no purpose in its current format. It should be changed, perhaps, to one where you select the topics and we post comments but I think you would find that it would be far less popular.
I am guessing that the E-mails that you get are from the same few people complaining that some of us are picking on the OSS. The reason that they send you the E-mails is that they think they will be successful in having you shut down the discussion, as you are going to do, and banning members, as you are threatening to do. You are playing into their hands.
The best moderated sites that I visit are those where the moderators are invisible. Posts or threads are sometimes edited or disappear but any discussion between the moderators and members is by PM.
Evan, you know i support your decisions and such, but this would be the wrong move for CRO....jmo...
so lets see if i have this right evan. because flammy does not have it on its website that is enough reason to ban oss. that is lame you are passing sentence on every team, sponsors,driver, fan etc due to a personality conflict between you and dave d. ban me if you want but make sure it is due to cofc rules. the day you start banning people because of who there are is the day this site will start to die. what you are doing is the lowest form of censorship. i may not like what some members have to say but i like the fact that they have the right to say it. you go thru with this i see more than one lawsuit coming(not a threat, i could not be bothered) if you look at my history as a mod i advocated warnings and short term muting never outright banning. i also disagree with dave d idea of certain members being banned, freedom of thought and speech are really the only true freedoms we have and you state that you want to control this. take a deep breath and look at it fairly, what you say you will do is just plain wrong.

Yes people this is my new username for me to voice my opinions on the site. Canadianracingonline is for CRO admin things only.
I will have an announcement later today. On our stance on OSS on this site. I'm sure people will like it.

I saw my mail system trash and a so called OSS an official release On behalf of Flamboro Speedway and the OSS we would like to set the record straight. Don't see this on the Flamboro site.
I will not be posting the message hear or any info about the OSS and I don't want any users to post about them as I have had enough of the OSS and I really don't consider this news anymore and I don't want posts about them on here.
I know what you guys are thinking but we cover all series on here. I just don't have time to read mails sent to me people reporting other because of OSS posts and I just don't want to promote them and this my choice as I do run this site and enough is enough.
Sorry this is how I feel and I will not change my mind on this. I don't want my sites associated with them. Sorry I have to take a strong stance on this but I feel itis the best thing for our sites.
