i just talked to john casale and the plan is to have the thundercar feature last.

he wants to run mini feature first, then pro4's feature, then king of the hill, then second mini feature and the thundercars at the end.

he hopes that the pro4 feature and KOTH will give minis enough time to prepare for second feature...BUT...if there are alot of wrecks in the first feature he would think about switching things around to give minis more time to get ready in the best interests of the the mini drivers and fans.

I was actually thinking about race fans doing the Flamboro / Sauble double on Wednesday but if a racer wants to try it it would be a unique experience.

Flamboro has a very good turnout in their Thunder Car and Mini Stock divisions but there may not be  many "invaders" on Wednesday because the may be hit with penalties depending on Flamboro's rule book interpretation.

Sauble will draw cars from Barrie, Sunset and Varney and has a more open invitational policy.  There is a Limited Late Model $900 to win 40 lap feature.

The Flamboro Mini Stock 25 lap features pay $125 to win while Sauble's 30 lap Mini Stock feature pays $200 to win.

Flamboro Thunder Car 50 lapper pays $600 to win and Sauble's 40 lap Thunder Car feature pays $500 to win.

I never really look at what the winner gets, look farther back...lol.
Minis have 2 features at Flamboro paying $125 each to win, $25 for 30th...didnt see a bonus for winning both.

last info i heard from flamboro, they ran their heats and it started to sprinkle at 4....it had been raining on an off in the city for a good hr and a half before that.
only 25 minis there so all were qualified for the double features...didnt hear anymore.

First Canada Day open went off today at Flamboro... rain was a factor but they got it all in.

I'm wanna get some food in me & watch the argo game so this will be quick..

TC:9 (Deleware Car?)

Well the rain did cause problems as it rained for about 30-40 mins just as the last TC heat was finishing up....another 30-40 mins to dry the track and it was feature time. Glad they waited it out...appreciate there efforts to get the track dry.

Mini's went out first... no problem here..but then they run king of the hill...then hurricane midgets....then f4's ...then 2nd MS  then finally get to TC's mean wile the dark clouds keep getting closer and closer.... ???  . I understand the other divisions have sponsors & fans ect.  but come on? most people were there for the TC 50 lapper...and they BARLY got it in...as about 30 sec after the checkers flew the skys opened up again.  terrible decision made there on the order of the features...they got lucky.

another thing .....the Flamboro MS division is entertaining one of the best...but why does it seem like every time I go...these clowns act like morons?  most of the drivers seem fine....but every time I go some people do stupid things.

example-1 28x hit the 0 car...half spinning him out he loses the bumper yellow comes out....so the 0 goes gives the 28x a bit of a shot...ok no harm no foul.  but then he continues to rough him up..crashing into another car, then he won't get in proper line up...green comes out he makes an attempt to spin the 28X fails. so race ends..he zoomes up starts ramming him again, they block the pit entrance slowing everything down....*sigh*

example 2: the 3 is late coming out for the feature...they send him to the back, he won't go..so they run 2-3 more caution laps....they black flag him, so then he drops to the back, but to late they want him out....he won't go...3-4 more caution laps, finally they stop him talk to him...so he then takes a sloooow drive down the front stretch...waving to the crowd, then stops yells some profanity at the starter...then blocks the pit entrance for a bit..still waving,and it wasn't done there...then he walks to the tower to discuss...knocking garbage cans down in the process. ::)  ya'know I get your mad, you have a right to be mad...but don't ruining it for the 20 other guys on the track and the people in the stands...who just waited 90+ mins to get back to racing..I mean come on?.

Fans wise the event was a total bust...is there no race fans in Hamilton area?  there was about 150 people in the stands.

Now after all that....the actual racing was very good, both MS features were entertaning, and the TC feature was amazing...tons of close racing...and some great driving.

sorry for the half-hearted report....I need some food in me! haha
