any results Crash? I was stuck doing lawn work before heading to NC this week. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I always thought that the back straight fence at Flammy was too low and that the pit grandstand was too close to the wall. I think by the video I saw there were more folks in the pit grandstands than the spectator side. I guess it begs the question if there are too many people in the pits that aren't directly working on a car. If so, should there be a spectator gate, for example in corner 1, where folks with pit passes can get to the main grandstands easily?
Glad to hear the young lady is ok.
mike havent heard anymore...no one has posted results on the flammy chat yet...i read that the flammy tech questioned a few things on toltons mini and it happened that varney's tech man was there helping him, or driving another car and said it was all legit...matt dean said he shifted 280 times during the day, missed 6 he figured...he missed one trying to hold off tolton, and tolton got by for one of the wins...sounded like abel castelein enjoyed his day running up front and leading the first feature for a bit and starting near the tail in the second to finish 5th...hopefully someone will post results because theyll never see the flammy site for weeks if at all....still none for octoberfest.lol.
on the Inside Track site, some posters mentioned Adams won one race, McTeer the second and Chenoweth the third. (If that's Shawn, it's a travesty that he was allowed to run-shows no backbone by the management) McTeer was the overall winner with a first and two seconds.
We've been corrected that there was actually 100 fans-LOL!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure that paid the bills.
I did plug the race on the Raceny.com and Merrittville message boards for the second year in a row as it seems no advertising is done locally. The Hamilton Spec had nothing (Tim Miller). Last year a driver from Holland NY brought his challenger to run with the tc's. This year dirt driver Rob Overholt was going to bring his Merrittville/Humberstone mini.
(ps the youtube video looks more like 30 fans by the way)
Mike, the Sean Chenoweth situation raises a couple of thoughts:
The Flamboro management is so desperate for back gate revenue that they would not take any disciplinary action.
Chenoweth is the "new sheriff in town" and management turned a blind eye to his Octoberfest conduct. If that is the case, the Thunder car drivers next season have a lot to look forward to racing with the #29 as he and his deputy dad lay down the law!
