Why not post the rules. Better to have rules in print than a phone conversation . Everyone then knows what they are and the same for everyone. I don't trust any track that's not upfront with there invitational rules. It usually means they will make the rules up as they go and screw visitors.
Hallelujah im with you , never go anywhere they don't have posted rules and never go anywhere you have to start scratch all day at races that are known to have very large fields . Coming out of the back for your heats is enough of a crap shoot but starting 24Th , 26Th or 30Th in one of these invitationals is dancing with the devil . Odds are 50/50 you are going to need a tow truck to load it on the trailer .
On dirt Merritville and Humberstone minimun weight for 240 Nissan's is 3100 lbs and Mitchell Brown was dominant with his . Barrie 240 Nissan's weigh 2640 lbs and the Melonhorsts own the place with one . At Sunset 240s only have to weigh 2300 lbs and i would expect Nissan's to dominate next year .

Mitchell Brown races a Mustang at Oshweken, not a 240 at Merittville. James Small ran a Nissan Stanza on the penninsula dirt tracks occasionally with the 2.4 nissan and ran well even at a heavy weight
Doug Butler wins most features already at Sunset with his Nissan. I believe he said his car is 200lbs over the legal weight at sunset (makes it 2500?).
that would be news to everyone i talked too....he weighed less then all the flammy regulars running 12v...he had everyone covered...his only problem was getting into lapped traffic so fast....lol
I was told it was the track officials that were gunning for him, apparently he was told outright that they were going to get him because they heard he was so fast.lol. As far as the flammy regulars weighing more, dont run an invite with hometrack rules that put your regulars at a disadvantage or bring your rules up to date with everyone else.
cant see the rules being update too soon.
too many mustangs, if you race flammy you would know what i mean.
and yes your home track guys shouldnt be put at a disadvantage for invitationals.
i believe the stanza of small's was banned and it has been parked and for sale all season.
mitchell brown won every feature except one in 2009 at ohsweken with a mustang.
if they were gunning for him, then starting him pole and making the other guys start tail was a great way to do it..lol.
