It is what is I guess and Ernie I don't think you were suggesting any wrong doing. We certainly believe the LOSC acted with no malice or prejudice against us. We certainly harbour no hard feelings towards the LOSC or it's officials, affiliates or competitors.
I think this one is going to boil down to an agreement to disagree. I think the confusion stemmed from a misunderstanding of the explanation of the decision.
With all the struggles we have this season we can say that it has been a very trying season but it has been a blast.
At the end of the day we enjoy the sport of racing and all the drama, joy, and heartache that goes with it!!!
on one of the restarts, i'm not exactly sure what lap it was, they moved mcglyyn in front of amanda and mcglynn was nowhere near her. They weren't side by side for position or anything, they were 2 or 3 car lengths apart. they all got in line, then the flag man was motioning for amanda to change spots with the 81. i was standing next to the 81's spotter and he turned to me and said, "what are they doing, that's the correct order"....everyone was in agreement including some of the lucas officials, but the track was having none of it. as i stated, this was not close, and it was sorta late in the race and meant the difference from restarting the race in 5th, the inside, or 6th, the outside. At some point common sense needs to kick in you'd think. If you look at the my laps scoring, you'd see that she was the 3rd fastest car on the track late in the race, and an inside starting position, where she rightfully should have been, could make a difference. just sayin......when its not right, its wrong.
i should have mentioned that it was explained to us that the transponders showed 81 ahead of amanda and thats why they made them switch.......and it was not close.......it's very frustrating when something so obvious ignored. For the record, our pit crew on pit lane was sure that ott was second.
What if mcglynn has his transponder mounted on a control arm or something? And ott has his on his rear frame rail.
